Physics is an adventure to find the rules of the Universe. It is the oldest science (Krupp, E. C.). Physics started as a way to predict motion and create simple machines (e.g. lift water to a higher platform). Now, we use physics for new technologies. Yet, this is not the only motivation for continuing the search. Knowing the rules beneath is satisfying. It also brings about profound questions – “Why is the universe just right for life?”, “Why are there three dimensions?”, “Do the uncertainties and probabilities of quantum mechanics mean there is free will?”. The lure of physics is like the lure of pure math. I am passionate about physics and so I wanted to share this with the world. My Personal Project was about making a video explaining an interesting, complex topic in Physics and explaining it to the younger demographic. I decided that I would break down the topic into its smaller parts. This goal was challenging because I had to ensure even younger people could understand the video. Several times, I had to cut parts that I had put a lot of effort into because I felt it would confuse people. The video received positive comments. One of them highlighted the entire purpose of my video: to explain something by breaking it down into easy to understand chunks.
